Horan Family Scholarship
The Horan Family Scholarship was created in 2018 by the Horan Family in recognition of daughters Kathryn, class of 1998; Susan, class of 2000; Mary, class of 2003; and Charlie, class of 2005 and in acknowledgement of their belief in the value of education.
Criteria to Apply:
- Student in good standing relative to attendance and discipline records.
- Preference given to a student interested in agricultural or manufacturing careers and/or who plans to pursue military service or whose parents are active or retired military.
Scholarship Personal Statement/Essay:
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please tell us why you've chosen your field of study.
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please tell us what your plans are after your post-secondary education is complete.
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please tell us about one of the following: your ability to problem solve, work with others, and/or your dedication to the community.
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please tell us how you've overcome an obstacle.
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please tell us anything else about yourself you think the selection committee would like to know.
- In less than 250 words (1700 characters), please describe how having a parent/guardian in the military has affected your life.
